Setting a new Malaysian Record for the highest paragliding launch was no easy feat. I had been forced to abort two previous attempts due to bad weather. Finally, in 2004, three fellow pilots joined me to the 14,101ft summit in the pre-dawn hours. We launch, had an amazingly smooth flight through clouds on the way down, and landed in a golf course just 30 minutes after throwing ourselves off Southeast Asia's highest summit. The thrill factor was off the scales!
